HackWithInfy is India-wide coding competition for final year engineering students. The second edition of HackWithInfy India concluded on August 19, 2019. The objective of the program is to help students inculcate the culture of rapid problem-solving and innovative thinking, while giving them an opportunity to explore their passion for programming by competing with the best coders in the country. Top performers in the competition not only win exciting prizes, but also earn a chance to work with Infosys in niche technical roles.
Approximately, more than 1.2 lakhs students were registered for HWI program.
Last year, Selection Criteria for PPI (pre placement interiew) and finalists : -
The event was conducted in three rounds:
Round 1 (June 30, 2019 and July 1, 2019) – Online challenge, individual participation
Round 2 (July 14, 2019 and July 15, 2019) – Online challenge, individual participation, web-proctored
Grand Finale (August 16-19, 2019) – Hackathon round at Infosys Pune.
Apprx. top 7,000 participants from Round 1 qualified to compete in Round 2.
The Top 100 participants from Round 2 competed in the three-day Grand Finale held between August 16 to 19, 2019 at Infosys Pune, Plot No. 1, Phase 1, Hinjewadi Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, Hinjawadi, Pune, Maharashtra - 411057. They also got an opportunity for a pre-placement interview for the role of Power Programmer.
From the subsequent set of top scorers from Round 2, top 200 participants got a pre-placement interview opportunity for the Power Programmer role while top 3,000 participants got an interview opportunity for the System Engineer Specialist.
Round-1 & 2 entries were evaluated on: code efficiency, difficulty level of questions attempted & negative scoring for plagiarism.
What to expected this year ?
Expected registrations this year : Near to 1.6 lakhs.
Well, looking at the requirements, all we can say is that, there is a high chance that same process will be followed this year as well.
Note : Infosys has not announced its official dates for HWI Round 1 till now.
